captian tuttle first enlisted in the 21 ny inf, in buffalo but never saw combat with that unit. he received a commision to raise a company for the 116 and served during the port hudson campaign. he was kia at the battle of donaldsonville la july 16 1863. prior to the war he was a fireman.

Assistant Surgeon from Alden Ny burried in the Lancaster NY Rural cemetary beside his brother 1st Lieutient Leander Willis

both died at home from wound suffered during the war.william served from 1861 to 1866 then passed. God bless them

Harlan was a drummer boy for Co A, 116th Regt. He was born Dec 25, 1841 in Angola, NY. Died Apr 16, 1880 in Streator Ill. Husband of Emily Julina Avery.

Brother Austen Gribling served with the Chattaqua Regiment in the Civil War.

Lt. Mason served with the regiment from October 1862 to June 1863. He resigned his commission on 5 June 1863. He had previously served with the 44th New York and had been brought into the 116th by Colonel Edward Chapin.

they joined in Buffalo. Their Father was Nathan Willis
